A few pictures

Well hello there. You may be wondering why I'm staring at you upside down with this adorable face. Actually, this is the position you will find me in most of the time. I like to call it the "stranded turtle." But it's not some new yoga fad. It just means "Get over here and pet me!"

This is me after a nice long purr-fest. I look more like a four-legged pancake in this one, but whatever. I'm in kitty heaven.

Looking for a great home!

Hi, I'm Chloe. Are you looking for a sweet, friendly, playful cat in your life? You've come to the right place, because I am looking for my new family.

I'm currently being fostered through Maxfund No-Kill Animal Shelter in Denver, CO. You may have found me through the Maxfund website and already learned a little about me from my bio. If not, here are the basics:

I am a 3-year-old female domestic longhair. I was left on Maxfund's doorstep with a note from my previous owner, saying that she had lost her job and could no longer afford to care for me. She said that I've had two litters of kittens - but luckily, I'm spayed now. I was afraid of the other cats at the shelter, so I got my own cage to help me feel safe. But it was stressful living in that little cage. I started eating too much, and I gained quite a bit of weight. Now I'm in a foster home where I can roam around, and I feel much happier and healthier.

Since other cats scare me, I'd like a home where I can be the only pet. I absolutely LOVE people, though! My favorite thing in life is rolling over on my back so you can scratch my head and chin. I'll purr like crazy. Sometimes, even if you're not really nearby, I'll just go ahead and get in this position in case you feel the need to come over and scratch me. It never hurts to be prepared!

You'll never feel lonely with me around, because I love to talk. I'm not annoying about it, though. Mostly, I'll just tell you how happy I am to see you. What's even better is that I'm a great listener. The sound of voices is really comforting to me, so I'll purr when you talk - whether you want to discuss the price of gas, gossip about your co-workers, or sing your off-key rendition of Achy Breaky Heart (don't worry, I won't tell anyone!) I'm not much of a lap cat, but I will snuggle up next to you or just hang out nearby.

Even though I'm a big girl, I like chasing toys as much as the next cat. After all, I'm still young and energetic. My favorite toys are anything involving fur, feathers, or string. I especially love my toy mouse on a string, whose furry tail I have chewed almost entirely off. I also think that moving pant legs are great for target practice (although my foster mom tells me this was only cute the first time).

Do you think I could be the cat for you? If you'd like to meet me, please contact my foster mom, Andrea, at purrfectcompanion@gmail.com. And please visit my blog often for updates and photos!
